We are a family of makers — and skin healers by need.
From a long line of apothecaries, we learned early how nature can soothe what synthetic care cannot.
My grandfather was an apothecary — known for his quiet precision and his belief that everything the skin needs already exists in its pure form.
In his small pharmacy, he began creating simple soaps for our family — blends of oils and botanicals that soothed dry, sensitive skin.
Decades later, that same need returned. With children who struggled with eczema and teenagers discovering their own skin, we began crafting what we couldn’t find: soap that truly works.
Each BARBAR bar was born from that search — made by hand, with botanical oils, clays, and patience.
What started as a family remedy became a ritual, and now a way to share care that feels honest, pure, and beautifully human.

Where it all started — my grandfather’s first apothecary, where care was still made by hand. Today, it stands as the Black Eagle Pharmacy Museum in Szekesfehervar, Hungary.
The Making
